'BITCH' by Allie X

Coming off the heels of her two perfect dreamy pop songs 'Catch' and 'Prime', rising Canadian pop princess Allie X is back with a new tune that gets a bit more experimental. Allie is one of the hottest rising acts at the moment, and her new single only ups the intrigue.

'BITCH' (and yes, it's written in all caps and you'll understand why when you hear it) takes Allie's dreamy netherworld pop and ramps up the mystery in sort of a Björk chanting way. The song sounds like a mix between Lana Del Rey and Sky Ferreira as her voice coos on the verses but then she goes balls to the wall in a screaming match on the chorus.

The song deals with crippling anxieties and self-destruction, addiction and delusion, and the distortion in the chorus really brings that point across. It's something much darker than we've heard from Allie, but with this I'm even more excited to see what she'll put out next.
