Conchita Wurst Wins Eurovision In a Flaming Glory

Eurovision is one of the biggest musical competitions in the world with all the European countries picking a representative to compete for their country. It's usually a cheesy event in order to promote unity and peace that was created in the years after World War II, but this year became a massive victory.

Austria sent Conchita Wurst, a bearded drag queen, to represent their country at Eurovision this year. Conchita performed her ballad 'Rise Like a Phoenix' with an impressive fiery display behind her. In a skin tight dress and gorgeous chestnut locks, the drag queen blew everyone away.

Coming out on top, Conchita won Eurovision and it's no wonder why. Watching her perform gave me chills, and she's also a very talented singer. But the win is even more important because it shows that the world is more accepting and moving towards tolerance and equality. Conchita's win was a win for equal rights and unity.
