'Break the Rules' Music Video by Charli XCX

Charli XCX just released her new single a hot minute ago, and following her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards Pre-Show she's dropped a new music video. Charli's a hot commodity at the moment and she's taking full advantage of being in the public eye.

The video for 'Break the Rules' is just as carefree and irreverent as the song itself. The video finds Charli singing on top of a school bus, as well as wreaking havoc on the bus and in a dress shop. Her and her posse then show up at their prom and become the center of attention.

The video recalls '70s teen films with a special Carrie scene recreation at the end. The video was inspired by Charli never having attended her own prom, and wondering what would have happened had she gone. It's safe to say it would have been a prom no one would have forgotten.

Charli XCX's album Sucker will be released on October 21st.
