Everyone thought Carly Rae Jepsen would be the latest One Hit Wonder pop star when she released her instantly iconic 'Call Me Maybe'. Her collab with Owl City made a decent impact, and her debut album Kiss did even worse despite it being one of the best pop records in many years.

After teasing us, she's really really back in the spotlight. The new single from the Canadian pop tart has leaked ahead of schedule but who cares because it really is perfection.

Written by Jacob Kasher and Peter Svensson, 'I Really Like You' isn't as instantly memorable as 'Call Me Maybe', but it's sugary pop perfection. It's relentlessly catchy, mimicking the large pop hooks and carefree confection of her debut album.

The lyrics are those made of teenage reveries, the ultimate guilty pleasure song in our current winter of discontent. I'm not sure the world is ready for more Carly Rae but I can say that I am really really really ready for this Canadian queen to dominate once more.
