'Sausage' by Lil Mama

Everyone thought the 'Lip Gloss' rapper would be a one-hit wonder, but then she came out with a slew of hits and managed two Billboard Top 10 songs. She then took to judging America's Best Dance Crew until eventually falling off the face of the earth. She's readying an EP as we speak, and we've finally got a taste of new Lil Mama.

'Sausage' is inspired by the current YouTube trend, and she's basically created her own take on it. In a PSA on safe sex, Lil Mama reminds us, "You better use a condom if you taking that sausage," but she also professes her love of breakfast.

But that's not the end of the craziness. The song also samples Pete Rock/Isaac Hayes' 'Walk on By' and Lil' Vicious and Doug E. Fresh's 'Freak' all the while incorporating Lil Mama's own lyrics over a signature '90s scratch beat.

Then the video takes it to another level. Hollering back to the wonderful '90s, Lil Mama offers a complete Harlem Shake dance party down the block ending in a Soul Train line. And while reminding us to wrap that sausage, she also reenacts Mary J. Blige's 'Not Gon Cry' video. It's insane, but you know what? I love it. Lil Mama's the whole package, and I know she has so much more ready and waiting for us.
