Even though will.i.am was set to unveil his next collaboration with the legendary Miss Britney Spears on Monday, the track just couldn't wait to be released. It leaked late last night, and I've had it on repeat. I was prepared for something sub par since it is will.i.am we're talking about, but I was pleasantly surprised. 'Scream & Shout' is going to be a MEGA hit in the clubs for sure. The song has this really cool suave beat throughout that evokes a euphoric feeling when listening to it. And can we take a moment to discuss the beginning of the song? Not only does Britney sing in her lower register (which we almost never hear) but she does it in her infamous British accent! She sings "When you hear this in the club, you're gonna turn this shit up / When you're up in the club, all eyes on us" in the sexiest voice she has ever had, and I am living for it! And not only that, but Britney sings with will.i.am the entire song so she doesn't actually have her own verse. And don't forget that they incorporated the signature line from 'Gimme More' "It's Britney, bitch!" One of the great things about this is Britney's voice has very little auto tune. This track is going to be huge, and I really hope she performs it on The X Factor because then she could show the acts what it means to have the x factor, as well as show the country why she's the best judge. Now we just have to wait for the video to be released!
