'The Moss' by Cosmo Sheldrake

This is a gem that I'm so excited to share with all of you. Cosmo Sheldrake is a 24-year old London-based artist who's trying to break into the industry, and he's officially releasing his debut single in April. He's taking electro pop and mixing it with the folksy sound of Mumford & Sons all while being a brilliant writer with so many pop culture allusions that it makes my head spin.

Cosmo's debut single 'The Moss' is an "ode to nonsense" as he calls it, as he sings about many of the nonsense characters that appear throughout literature. He sings a mile a minute and so it's an effort just to keep up, but when you do it's one of the most rewarding things. From jabberwockys to the man who drank too much this song is chock full of references that make a literary mind like myself go crazy. Plus, he does it all over this incredible beat, sometimes even dropping out and going completely acapella. Cosmo has mastered the art of music and turned it on its head, and its brilliant compositions like these that make listening to music worth every moment.
