'Dead Reckoning' by Charlaine Harris

Charlaine Harris is back with the eleventh installment of The Southern Vampire Mysteries.  Compared to her previous tenth installment of the series, this one was much more enjoyable.

"With her knack for being in trouble's way, Sookie witnesses the firebombing of Merlotte's, the bar where she works. Since Sam Merlotte is now known to be two-natured, suspicion falls immediately on the anti-shifters in the area. Sookie suspects otherwise, but her attention is divided when she realizes that her lover Eric Northman and his "child" Pam are plotting to kill the vampire who is now their master. Gradually, Sookie is drawn into the plot-which is much more complicated than she knows..." ~ Amazon

These books are definitely one of my favorite series; usually after a while a series will just crap out (especially after eleven novels) but this is not the case here.  The series is just as good as ever, and is as interesting as ever.  It really amazes me how authors can create such complicated plot lines that continue to amaze the reader.  The continuing of the series always gets me to wondering how long the HBO TV series 'True Blood' will continue.  It's in its fourth season and is still hotter than hot.  I would love to see the series take on all projected thirteen novels, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.  Now I'm eagerly awaiting the twelfth which will unfortunately not be released for another year.
