'We Found Love' Music Video by Rihanna

Ri-Ri knows how to make a good video for a fun upbeat dance song, but give it depth and meaning.  In anticipation of the video I was thinking that it was just gonna be some fun video with maybe some club scenes, romance etc.  But when it got to the chorus I was like "Uh oh, it's gettin' real."  In the video, Rihanna tackles the implications that drugs can have on people such as getting in trouble with the law, reckless driving, sickness and abusive actions.  There is one scene that I wanted to make specific mention of.  It was the scene in the car when Rihanna's yelling at her boyfriend to stop driving recklessly because she's scared, and then he begins yelling back at her.  I thought this was supposed to represent the notorious scene from her life with Chris Brown and the damage he inflicted upon her.  And even the actor who plays her boyfriend looks strikingly like Chris.  As the video winds down, just as in Britney's video for 'Criminal', Rihanna shows the audience that women don't have to put up with these things and that they can get out of abusive relationships.  With the release of the video for 'We Found Love' Rihanna has officially taken the #3 spot in my list of all-time favorite musicians (Britney being #1 and GaGa #2).  Can't wait to see what her new album 'Talk That Talk' has in store for us!
