'Somebody Loves You' by Betty Who

Betty Who is the newest indie singer making the rounds and getting everyone talking. Betty is an Australian-American singer who originally released her debut single 'Somebody Loves You' on November 30th of last year, and since then she has released a four track EP, The Movement, which has recently been re-released to iTunes after a flashmob wedding proposal video using the first single went viral. Betty makes fantastic pop music that has an '80s vibe to it that gets you dancing. She has bloggers going crazy with her new stuff, and I may be late to the party, but better late than never, right?
Betty Who's debut single 'Somebody Loves You' is this great, uplifting dance tune that reminds me a lot of Robyn mixed with some Kylie Minogue. I wouldn't be able to pick Betty's voice out of a crowd as I don't see it as particularly unique, but I think it's the music here that grabs your attention. The chorus is undeniably catchy, playing on a loop in my head after the first listen. It's got a great melody and is just an all-around perfect pop song. I think we can expect some great things from Betty in the future. Betty Who recently played a show here in New York City, and if you want to check out a great review of the show, head over to my friend's blog Oblivious Pop where you can get the full run down, as well as check out some great indie artists that you probably haven't heard of yet.
