'A Light That Never Comes' by Linkin Park featuring Steve Aoki

Linkin Park are getting ready to release a remix album that takes tracks from their previous album Living Things and gives them a fresh spin. The only new tune to feature on the album is a collaboration with Steve Aoki. 'A Light That Never Comes' can be described as a genre-clashing, rock-rap-EDM track. Linkin Park's more recent sound has had a more dance-y feel to it, but their signature rock sound has always stuck around. This time, they're delving deeper into EDM but also adding a new rapper for a track that's pretty awesome. I prefer the band's EDM-geared music because I'm not a fan of hard rock, and so this is very much to my liking. I quite enjoyed Steve's rap, and the whole thing is very cohesive despite so many different elements at odds with each other. Their new album Recharged is set to be released October 29th.

  1. Nice review! i think just the same about it! (but one thing - it's mike (shinoda) who does the rap vocals, not steve aoki)

    1. Thanks! Sorry, I'm not a huge fan of Linkin Park so I don't know all the specifics. But thanks for pointing that out :)
