'Bed of Lies' by Nicki Minaj featuring Skylar Grey
Nicki Minaj hosted the MTV European Music Awards in Glasgow last weekend, and during her performance, which took fans to the past to the future then back to the present, she debuted a new song off her upcoming record The Pinkprint.
'Bed of Lies' is the fourth song to be released from The Pinkprint following the hotly debated Nazi-image filled 'Only' with Drake and Lil Wayne. Nicki told us she was going back to Onika on this record, and that's exactly what we've got here.
Skylar Grey who used to sing every hook on every major song once upon a time wrote 'Bed of Lies' a year ago, and just recently Nicki called her up and asked to put her own verses on it. That's resulted in one of the most honest and most sincere pieces of music to come out of Nicki in recent years.
"You could never make eye contact / Everything you got was based off of my contacts," Nicki raps as she reflects on a past relationship gone wrong. "Couldn’t believe that I was home alone contemplating overdosin’ / no more coastin’ / no more toastin’ over oceans."

The song is a beautiful ballad that brings back memories of the Pink Friday days, the days when Nicki really poured her artistry into her music. Don't get me wrong, 'Anaconda' is still one of my favorite Nicki tracks ever, but seeing her honest and raw will always win.
Nicki Minaj's third studio album The Pinkprint will be released on December 15th.
