'Super Bass' Music Video by Nicki Minaj

You all know by now that I absolutely adore Nicki Minaj and everything she does.  She has come in and completely turned the rap world upside up.  Lil' Kim and Missy Elliott have really been the only successful female rappers in a long time, but they seem to have disappeared from the spotlight.  Nicki has taken up where they left off and is quickly becoming the most successful female rapper in history. 
'Super Bass' is actually a bonus track off her first studio album 'Pink Friday' so I was surprised when she decided to release it as a single. It is definitely not bonus track material in that it is a great song and should have been included on the original album.  It's just one of those fun songs that is accompanied by an equally fun video.  She brought back the green hair which I have been waiting for forever!
As you can see from the pictures the music video is just fun and cheeky.  You have her doing some choreography with her dancers, riding on an ice motorcycle shaking her junk and playing in the pool pouring"pink drink" over herself and her man.  It's one of those perfect summer videos that will soon rise to the top of the charts.
The final sequence of the video is a really cool blaklight set that is reminiscent of the Ting Ting's 'That's Not My Name' video, but sexified.  It's something Nicki's never done before, so it was interesting to watch.  'Super Bass' is now my second favorite Minaj music video, the first being 'Moment 4 Life' (you just can't beat the Nicki fairy godmother with the British accent and the Cinderella story).

I am so excited for July 26th to finally get here because not only do I get to see the legendary Princess of Pop live in concert, but I also get to see Ms. Minaj as the opening act.  It's going to be an amazing night watching my Femme Fatales belt it out and put on an exquisite show.
