The X Factor UK: Top 4 - The Semi-Finals

We have arrived at the Semi-Finals of The X Factor UK!  Can't believe the time has gone by so fast.  So this week the Top 4 took on the songs of Motown, as well as a "Song to Get You to the Final."  Misha and Amelia absolutely smashed it, but Marcus and Little Mix let me down.  It was kind of bittersweet watching Misha perform because everyone knew without a doubt that she would be going home this week.

Misha B
Motown week could not have been any more suited to Misha, and, like always, she absolutely killed it on stage.  Our energetic, R&B diva showed up on stage and gave an amazing performance complete with some choreography and a dress made of broken records.  Perfection.

Amelia Lily
Amelia took on one of the most famous Motown songs of all time, and gave an absolutely stunning vocal performance.  The production was spot on, and Amelia proved why she deserves to be in the final.

Little Mix
This was a very weak performance from our resident Little Muffins.  I liked the production aspect going back to the old school girl group, but the vocals were weak and lyrics were forgotten.  Even having said that, it was still better than their Bieber performance last week, but not by much.

Marcus Collins
Marcus and Motown just meld together and make something beautiful.  I thought Marcus did a great performance and you could tell how much fun he was having on stage.  I don't understand why he chose to sing 'My Girl' when he should have been singing 'My Boy', but whatever.  It was a good vocal.

Misha B
Misha B slaying it again.  P!nk's 'Perfect' is such a beautiful song, and Misha gave a soaring vocal performance.  This was probably my favorite ballad that Misha has ever performed.  It made me upset because I knew this would be the last performance she gave on the stage as part of the competition.

Amelia Lily
The big ballads with the huge vocals is the Amelia that we know has a shot at winning the competition, and she came out swinging.  She truly has an incredible voice (definitely the most powerful of the remaining competitors) and I can see her taking the UK by storm as their Kelly Clarkson.  She has a bright future ahead of her.

Marcus Collins
Worst performance since the first two weeks of the live shows.  I was so disappointed in Marcus with this song.  His vocals in the beginning cracked and he went off pitch.  It looked like he was uncomfortable, and it was in no way enjoyable for me.

Little Mix
This performance was just so-so.  They took on a Beyoncé song which was probably the wrong move.  The vocals weren't perfect, but they did have passion and it was definitely better than their first performance.

Overall this was a pretty good semi-final, but it could have been much better.  There was no doubt in my mind that Misha would be going home this week.  We all know she's going to be the most successful artist coming off the show this year so I wasn't too upset over it.  My call for the finale is that Little Mix will win, Marcus will come in second and Amelia will come in third.  Can't wait for the finale!
