'Young' Music Video by Tulisa

For those of you X Factor fans out there you know who Tulisa Contostavlos is, but if you don't, she's a member of the band N-Dubz and was chosen as a judge for this past year's season of The X Factor UK.  She went on to win the competition with her group Little Mix, and she is now pursuing a solo career.  'Young' is the debut single off her upcoming debut album, and the music video just premiered yesterday.  First off, the song is good but the lyrics are atrocious.  It's like a simplified version of Rihanna's 'We Found Love' which I didn't think could exist.  The beat is awesome and gives us a great idea of what her album is going to sound like so I'm excited.  Now on to the video.  It's nothing special, but it is a good, standard UK video.  The biggest problem I have with both the song and the video is that Tulisa sings about how she can do basically anything she wants whether it's destroying artwork or breaking into a penthouse suite, but the consequences of her actions don't mean anything "because we're young."  It's just sending a totally wrong message to all her young fans out there, and she isn't all that young herself.  The video is just portraying her as immature, and I think the song and video would have been better suited to a sixteen year old than to a twenty-three year old.  I'm excited for the album, but I think she could have picked a little less immature song to start our her solo career.
