Hans Zimmer Healing Shattered Souls with 'Aurora'

Remember the article I wrote a week ago about why Hans Zimmer is my favorite movie composer? Well, the man I admire has just elevated himself even more in my eyes. Since the tragic massacre in Aurora, Colorado occured during the midgnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises (which Zimmer scored), as a way to give back and help the victims and their families Hans Zimmer created this beautiful piece of music. In true Zimmer fashion it's a huge and heavy piece that evokes emotion after emotion. A beautiful Gregorian-style choir chants over the dark and somber piece that will bring tears to your eyes. The song really soars around the five-minute mark in which the voices are elevated and they somehow transcend the beauty of this world. It's one of the most beautiful and moving pieces I've ever heard. It can be purchased from iTunes and 100% of the proceeds go to the Aurora Victim Relief organization. This is such an easy way to help out even if you're millions of miles away.

Buy the song HERE on iTunes.
