FINALLY we are getting the Nicki we all fell in love with. While it may seem Nicki is just another pop bimbo releasing dance songs at the moment, in reality she is an urban underground artist who came to fame with her incredible raps and hardcore music. In order to capitalize on her current success, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded has basically been watered down to just the poppy dance songs, when in reality half of the album is rap/hip-hop that showcases Minaj's true talent. One song on the album, 'Come On a Cone', was an instant favorite with fans including myself. As vulgar as it is, the song is one of her best songs ever, and I have been praying that it would get some promotion one day. Thankfully, Nicki just released a video for a shortened version of the song. It's basically a behind-the-scenes underground type video that reduces Minaj to truest identity. And that's one of the reasons why I love it so much. The video is obviously supposed to be a teaser for the re-release of her album which will hit stores in November. Nicki has said The Re-Up will be much more rap oriented which I hope is true because as much as I love dance Nicki I much prefer the urban rap diva any day.
