Raja, winner of Season 2 of RuPaul's Drag Race, has released her second music video for the incredible track 'Sublime'. I love when artists take what could be a simple music video and turn it into a mini-movie that evokes thought. That is just what Raja did here, and she proves why she was the winner of Drag Race. In the video, we start off with seeing Sutan lying on the Hollywood Walk of Fame almost in a daze. He walks back to his apartment and lies down. Then we see the dark goddess Raja (who looks gorgeous in a Black Swan / Angel of Death kind of outfit) enter the building, travel up the elevator and enter Sutan's apartment. The two start interacting with each other and then the video amps up as we are hit with a barrage of images that are layered on top of each other. It's bizarre, but fits the song perfectly. This is interspersed with scenes of Raja in half-drag, and then we get to the end where we see Sutan trying on all these different headpieces, showing off the many looks of Raja. Finally, Sutan wakes up, and it just so happens that he's laying on the star of Marilyn Monroe. This is a video that makes you think, and is open for interpretation. I'm amazed by it, and Raja has once again outdone herself.
