'Long Distance' by Melanie Amaro

Melanie Amaro, winner of the first season of The X Factor, released her new single which she performed on the results show this week. After her under performing first single failed to garner her any success, she has delayed her album until early next year and chose to release the new song 'Long Distance'. The track isn't anything spectacular, but it's miles better than the atrocity that was 'Don't Fail Me Now'. It's just an average upbeat dance track that has no substance and fails to be memorable. Thankfully her performance on The X Factor was actually really good, and she proved why she won the show last year. Her voice comes off more sincere and proves to be more interesting when she sings live, and I also really enjoyed the performance she gave. I doubt she's going to have any success in the future, but I'm hoping her debut album is at least somewhat decent. It would be a shame for her to not get at least some success.
