It seems like everywhere I turn everyone is talking about Swedish DJ Avicii's first single off his debut studio album, True, due out in September. With his new album, Avicii wants to disrupt the electronic dance music scene that we are currently in, and bring something fresh to his listener's ears. Well he most certainly is taking a chance with the first single 'Wake Me Up', but it's a risk that seems to be paying off. The lead single from the album is very much a country/blue grass sounding record with some Mumford & Sons guitars chucked into the mix. But it's all backed up with Avicii's signature dance sound, creating a bizarre mesh of sounds that surprisingly makes for a catchy tune. Avicii has been a staple in the electonica scene, and hopefully with this album he'll help bring about a change that is long over-due in the world of pop music.
