Michelle Williams is prepping the release of her fourth studio album Journey to Freedom due out later this year, and after her first single 'If We Had Your Eyes', Michelle is ramping things up with her second single. With this album, Michelle set out to redefine what gospel music is seen as, and I think this new single is exemplary in that regard. 'Fire' is pretty hot, bringing in a more R&B beat that will have you turning up your bass. Not listening to the lyrics you would think this is an urban contemporary track, not something gospel. I'm actually really in love with this, and if this is what her new album is going to sound like, I think Michelle has struck gold.
