'Mannequin' Music Video by Plastic

You all shold know by now that I'm a fanatic when it comes to The X Factor, in particular the UK version, because it's like American Idol but it focuses more on the entertainment value than singing ability which I enjoy. I think you have to be an artist when you're on The X Factor rather than just a great singer on shows like Idol or The Voice. So I was catching up on last week's episode of The Xtra Factor (The X Factor's sister show), and three lads instantly caught my attention. They were flamboyant personalities who were rocking sickening fashion and most notably they each had a shockingly bright hair color. These boys are known as Plastic, and they're basically everything I could ever want from a boy band (I may have let out a tiny squeal when they first popped on screen). The way the show filmed them made it look like they were going to be terrible, but then the boys went in front of the judges and absolutely killed it. They have decent voices, they have killer choreography and they just have pure sass. Thankfully they advanced, and I really hope they make it to the live shows because they are like Rylan Clark, expect exceedingly talented in all areas so they're sure to bring the fun.
I was so enamored by them that I just had to Google them and see if they had released any previous music, and to my immense delight they had! They seem to already be well-established with a large Japanese fan base, as well as having performed at the London Olympic Village during the last Olympics and they created a media frenzy when they attended London Fashion Week. They've already released two songs (with music videos) and are currently writing their debut album. Their first single, 'Mannequin', is an awesome euro-pop dance tune that is instantly catchy. It's electro-pop sass with some rapping thrown in. This is totally what I love. Their music videos are also fantastic, especially coming from an unsigned act. The video mixes fashion and art in a way that mimics Lady Gaga's creative output which is awesome because videos are too boring these days, and these boys are upping the ante. I'll do a review of their new song 'DAFUQ' later, but for now, enjoy these fierce lads who are my current obsession.
