Chelsea Lankes is a Nashville native who has been releasing music for the past couple years, but she hasn't received any mainstream recognition. She has a beautiful indie synth-pop sound that makes her stick out from the crowd. At times she reminds me of Betty Who, another one of my favorite indie artists at the moment, with her soft and sweet yet strong and confidant voice. Her new single 'Ghost' is a beautiful understated tune that, as the name suggests, is entrancing and atmospheric. The production is simple and smooth blending nicely with Chelsea's vocals. She will be releasing her new EP Lucid in February 2014 so be on the lookout for that because it's sure to not disappoint.
