Lana Del Rey is quickly becoming the queen of soundtracks as she lends her talent to Disney's latest film Maleficent after having such widespread success with 'Young and Beautiful' from The Great Gatsby soundtrack. 'Once Upon a Dream' isn't an original track unfortunately, but with Lana's rendition of the title track from the original 1959 Sleeping Beauty film you would be none the wiser. In typical Lana fashion the song is dark and brooding as her dramatic and soulful voice brushes over the orchestral backing. The song never reaches a high point and it doesn't need to. It's hauntingly grand yet subtle, and with this Lana proves that no film score is complete without her vocals.
