'Stay With Me' by Sam Smith

Sam Smith is quickly shooting into super stardom and becoming a household name in the U.K. (and hopefully in the U.S. as well with the upcoming release of Naughty Boy's 'La La La'). His debut album In the Lonely Hour is out May 26th but that day couldn't come faster. We've so far heard 'Lay Me Down' and the lead single 'Money On My Mind', and if anything Sam has the ability to be the male Adele. Doubt me? Check out his hot off the airwaves second single.

Smith is a veteran crooner, and his new single 'Stay With Me' shows his forte. The slow-burning piano ballad reinforces everything that makes Smith a star, and the gospel choir in the background adds that extra umph that makes the song perfect. It's rare that an artist can covey just the right emotion through their vocals, but Smith does it effortlessly with every song he releases. His U.S.-tailored EP Nirvana has been on repeat since it was released so I'm ready for new music. Thankfully, I now have 'Stay With Me' to tide me over.
