Jinkx Monsoon is the current reigning America's Next Drag Superstar, that is until Bianca Del Rio wins this year's season of RuPaul's Drag Race. Jinkx is one of the most talented queens to ever be on the show, and with her musical theater background and successful Off-Broadway show The Vaudevillians it was only a matter of time before she released her own music.

Not only is she taking that step into music, but she's also prepping for a full length studio album, The Inevitable Album, due out later this year. Sharon Needles's success has been unparalleled with PG-13 and Jinkx is set to be the next major contender.

With the release of Phi Phi O'Hara's 'Bitchy', among others, there's been a trend of moving away from dance pop and trying out new styles. It shouldn't come as a surprise that Jinkx's debut single is left of center. 'Coffee & Wine' has a jazzy old school vibe to it. It definitely has some broadway moments, but its very calm, cool and collected. And of course Jinkx's voice floats effortlessly over the instrumentation.

The video for the song sees Jinkx and her burlesque dancers behind the scenes as they prepare for a show, and ultimately go out and do what they love. Interspersed are scenes of Jinkx drinking her coffee in a coffee shop and pouring wine over herself as she snuggles up with a guy in a bubble bath. It's something we haven't really seen from Jinkx before but she never loses that comedic element we have all grown to know and love.

Jinkx Monsoon is a consummate performer and is taking drag to new heights, and with The Inevitable Album she's going to show the world how talented queens truly are. Get ready, 'cause Monsoon Season is here to stay, bitches!
