'Bass Like Home' by Lily Allen

The World Cup is quickly approaching and with that comes new music from our favorite artists as a way to build solidarity with the universal language. While the World Cup already has its theme for this year, that doesn't stop the cheeky Lily Allen from releasing her own track for the games. Lily's an avid soccer fan so it's no surprise she felt compelled to pen a song for the games.

While 'Bass Like Home' doesn't contain any explicit references to soccer, the song rather focuses on the nation as a whole with Lily reminding us exactly what Britain has given to the rest of the world in terms of influential people as well as commodities. It seems to be quite the export country, Lily being the sweetest of all.

The song itself is actually quite addicting. It's not your typical high fanfare World Cup sound or Lily's sarcastic electro-pop groove, rather it's more club oriented. It's a great house track with a thumping beat that will do well in many remixes. I actually like this more than the majority of Sheezus which I can't believe I'm saying. I don't know about you, but this'll be my theme for the World Cup this year.
