LIGHTS came onto the scene in 2008, and released her debut album The Listening in 2009. I still remember when that album came out because I was obsessed with her, and it still to this day is a fantastic electro-synth pop record. It brings me back to those wonderful Blackout times when things were simpler.

After getting married and having a child, LIGHTS is ready to kick off the next era of her musical journey. She is currently prepping the release of her third studio album Little Machines. She's definitely not straying from her signature sound (although a bit lighter than Siberia), but that's not a bad thing.

Lead single 'Up We Go' is an upbeat summer anthem with a positive message. Taking the synth-pop sound of CHVRCHES and blending it will the motivational succor of Sara Bareilles, 'Up We Go' makes for a peppy lead track that makes you forget about all your worries for a few minutes. She sings, “Everyone here is ready to go / It’s been a hard year and I only know / From down this love, it’s only up we go.”

LIGHTS will release her third studio album Little Machines on September 23rd.
