Once upon a time there was a DJ who was the biggest producer in the world, spawning some of the most memorable hits in recent memory. His name was David Guetta and everyone vied to work with him. That was a long time ago, but he's giving up his party anthems and going for something a bit edgier.

David Guetta is readying his new album Listen, and he has just released the first single. 'Dangerous' is the first offering that we are getting, and based on this Guetta could have a resurgence in popularity. 'Dangerous' borrows the wobbling electro melody from Madonna's 'Like a Prayer' giving it a haunting presence, but then a slightly groovy Daft Punk beat comes it with a guitar piled on top.

There are a lot of elements in this song working in harmony that create something rather spectacular and left lane for Guetta. Sam Martin is known for co-writing Maroon 5's 'It Was Always You' and 'Daylight', but this could be his big break into the singing world. I have high hopes for this song, and I think Guetta could be changing his fortune for the better.

David Guetta's album Listen will be released on November 24th.
