'Salted Wound' by Sia

The Fifty Shades of Grey film is right around the corner, and it's the soundtrack that promises to be star-studded. Ellie already gave us 'Love Me Like You Do' which is easily the best song of the year so far, and today we are getting another enticing taste.

Basically Sia has to be a part of everything in the music industry so it's no surprise she also has a song on the Fifty Shades soundtrack. Her contribution, 'Salted Wound', is a hauntingly beautiful ballad. Despite it's dark title, this track is a gorgeous gem of music that lends credence to the idea of the story.

Over a sparse beat accompanied by only a plinking violin and a beat that acts as an undercurrent, Sia's voice penetrates hard. Despite her lack of enunciation, Sia captures the essence of the love story with her lyrics. "Lonely float got in the way / You are the feel, and knew it anyway / Take a chance, it wasn't what you know / Take my hand, and don't let go," she sings.

The Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack will be released on February 10th.
