'E·MO·TION' by Carly Rae Jepsen
Yesterday, Kiss Me Once chanteuse Carly Rae Jepsen revealed the tracklist to her upcoming, heavily-anticipated sophomore album E·MO·TION due this summer. Being the Most Underrated Pop Queen in Herstory is quite a title to live up to, but she continues to prove its truth.
Jepsen unveiled the title track yesterday, and it just goes to show why she's underrated. It's clear that this album is completely inspired by the '80s, and 'E·MO·TION' perfectly captures that sound. Upbeat and bouncy, the song sees Jepsen gently cooing across the verses before she lights up on the verses.
"In your fantasy, dream about me / And all that we could do with this emotion," she exclaims as the song scorches once it hits the chorus. It's glitzy, campy '80s fun and paired with 'I Really Like You' there's no doubt E·MO·TION will be the best album of the year.
