'California King Bed' is the newest single to be released from Rihanna's smash hit album 'Loud'.  While it's not my favorite song off the album, it is a beautiful ballad that really helps give more depth to Rihanna.  There is no doubt that Rihanna has a bright career ahead of her, and this video just goes to show that she is constantly expanding. 
While the video is no GaGa epic, it does exactly what it was intended to do: to make a video representation of the song.  It's just a beautiful ballad about love - what more do you want?  The video is visually stunning (has Rihanna ever not looked gorgeous?).  It simply takes place in a little waterfront getaway situated on the beach at sun down.  Every artist has their summery, beach video and this is Rihanna's.  My only qualm is that it is obvious the video was filmed on a set and not outside.  The scenery and everything just looks fake, which kind of detracted from the overall beauty of the video.  Otherwise the video is just great.  I'm anxiously awaiting the video for 'Man Down' so hopefully that will arrive soon.
