First off, let me just tell you that this is finals week so I'm sorry for not having posted more updates recently. I'll be back home on Friday so expect A LOT of updates over the weekend. Now on to some Nelly goodness...

Nelly Furtado is one of those artists that is always an individual and never follows the trends - she sets the trends. While 'Big Hoops' may not be the biggest radio hit at the moment, I personally love it because it's fresh and new. Nelly finally released the video for the first single earlier this week. It's not particularly the greatest video ever, but it definitely is fun to watch. The video has some really great face-paced cutting in-between scenes that I think really worked here. Nelly's just having fun dancing in a variety of outfits as she channels her inner teenager. We also get to see Nelly walking on stilts because you know, it's all about "the bigger the better!" It's a little awkward at first, but not many people can make walking on stilts look effortless and fierce. There's also some great Native American dancing with hoops that was really cool to watch. Overall, it was a very interesting video.
