'Right By My Side' Music Video by Nicki Minaj featuring Chris Brown

Nicki Minaj's latest video featuring Chris Brown was released the same day she kicked off her first ever solo world tour. While Nicki's moving up in the world, she's still celebrating her early career especially with this song and video. 'Right By My Side' is very reminiscent of the Nicki that first burst onto the scene, the song being compared to 'Right Thru Me' off her debut album. While it's a good song, it is definitely one of the weakest off her sophomore album 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded'. The video is also very simplistic, but it still has the Nicki charm. The song is basically about not being able to live life to the fullest without that special person by your side, and that is exactly what the video portrays. Nicki hangs out with her beau and has fun, but while she's sitting on a bench all alone she's unhappy. It's as simple as that. The Harajuku Barbie has some great chemistry with Chris Brown, but the best moment had to be the very last scene when she gives us one of her signature Minaj grimaces. While this definitely isn't her best video, it's still quite good.
