'We Can't Stop' by Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus released her last album Can't Be Tamed back in 2010, and after a string of moderately successful hits, the world has been clamoring for Miley's return to music. In the past few months we have been treated to a few of her guest tracks such as Snoop Lion's 'Ashtrays and Heartbreaks' and will.i.am's 'Fall Down'. Miley has been teasing the release of her new single since the Billboard Music Awards, and at long last the highly-anticipated track is here. It's a much different sound than I expected to hear from her. It's a more laid-back R&B sound, and it also marks the shift that we are about to experience in music. The pop scene is moving away from electronic dance music to more of an urban pop sound, which Lady GaGa and Britney Spears are quietly crafting in the studio right now. Back to the song, this is a shout out to all of her fans for sticking by her through thick and thin. Miley proclaims that "It's my mouth, I can say what I want to." It's great to hear her taking control and not apologizing for her past actions. I'm in love, and Milegend is coming back to slay.
