Twerking is a dance craze that has swept the nation, heating up over the past few months as it's been brought more to the forefront. Miley Cyrus, in particular, has been partaking in it, featuring it in her video and VMAs performance for 'We Can't Stop'. Capitalizing on its success, twenty year old rapper Lil Twist sought out two of the hottest young artists to collaborate on a song all about the dance. Today, 'Twerk' leaked, and it features Miley as well as bad boy Justin Bieber. Bieber might be an odd choice for the track, but I'm glad he signed on because, surprisingly, he's the best part of the track. I have to warn you: the track is pretty awful. I don't find Lil Twist's voice to be very appealing, and the track is pretty bland. Nothing spectacular happens and the beat isn't interesting. Lil Twist raps the intro and the outro, while Miley takes on the hook and Bieber the verses. Miley's voice is very whiny and annoying in the song which is a shame, but Bieber's voice is on point and I was really jamming out to it. Unfortunately, that was not enough to save the song. I love the whole twerking phenomenon that's sweeping the nation and I hope it doesn't go away any time soon, but I wish with two pop superstars they could have created a better twerking anthem.
