I'll be honest and say that I've never listened to a Mel B song in my life. Of course I've listened to the Spice Girls, I mean who hasn't, but I've never really had an interest in Mel until she was a guest judge on last year's The X Factor UK and now as a judge on America's Got Talent. Mel is a great personality, and so you know her music is going to fun. 'For Once In My Life' is the first song Mel B has released in eight years, and it's a catchy dance tune. While nothing special, it's a solid pop jam that will have you singing along in no time. It's also got a great message to it: for once in your life just go out there and be who you want to be; do it for yourself, not just to please other people. The music video is actually pretty cool as it includes Mel changing outfits with some awesome visual effects. Some of you TV fans might have laughed out loud (as I did) when you saw where the video takes place - the infamous Wisteria Lane of Desperate Housewives. Mel specifically lives in Mike Delfino's house. I did think the video was a bit childish and immature for Mel's age, but I think it's fun and that's the point she was getting across.
