Lady Gaga is so close to releasing what is set to be the biggest album of the year that we can literally taste it. As the November 11th release rapidly approaches, Gaga is doing us a huge favor and giving us bits and pieces of the album to whet our appetites. Each Monday she is going to release a snippet of a song, the first being a 10 second snippet of 'G.U.Y.' which is sheer perfection. In addition she is releasing promo singles through iTunes, the first of which is the R. Kelly collaboration which was just released. The next will be Gaga's second single 'Venus' which she will be performing on The X Factor UK next weekend. ARTPOP is just around the corner, and I don't think we're ready for it. 'Do What U Want' is an R&B jam, unlike anything Gaga has released before, and showing that ARTPOP is going to be a very diverse album. The lyrics are really great, playing with a double entendre. It's seemingly about Gaga saying a guy can do what he wants with her body, a very primal and sexy song. But at the same time, it's a message to all the haters out there: you can do what you want to me, but I'm not going anywhere. Gaga is here - she isn't taking shit from anyone and you better be ready for her.
