Allison Iraheta was a contestant on one of the best seasons of American Idol, Season 8 which included Adam Lambert and Kris Allen to name a few. She was one of my favorites that year, and her duet with Adam slayed basically everything the show has ever done. She later went on to release her debut album which was just okay. It wasn't anything spectacular and I was let down. After years of figuring out her career, Allison married Matthew Hager and formed the band Halo Circus. The band was recently signed to an LA record label, and now they have released their debut single. 'Gone' is a beautifully dark rock ballad where Allison's gritty, squeaky voice fits in quite well. I'm really diggin' this song as it's left of center, but still catchy. I think Allison might finally get her time to shine with Halo Circus.
