If you've ever watched a Lorde video you're well acquainted with not really knowing what's going on half the time. Her video for 'Royals' is a bit more self-explanatory than 'Tennis Court', but not by much. For her third single 'Team', Lorde reaches out into the unknown and produces a visually striking video that is not as cut and dry as one would hope. My sense of the video is that this kid is being trafficked and in the end he tries to fight the power and get away. And then Lorde is sitting in some sort of greenhouse with what I would assume are runaways. I have no idea what any of this has to do with the subject matter of the song, but I guess it's up for interpretation. Just watch the video.
