'Summer' by Calvin Harris

Before Scottish producer/DJ Calvin Harris made it big with his collaborations with Rihanna and Florence Welch he relied on his own voice on his tracks to connect with fans. He's had global smashes for the last couple of years, but with his new single he's making a ballsy move. Will it pay off?

Harris' new single 'Summer' is primed for domination in the coming months, because let's face it, it's Calvin Harris. He knows how to pen an addictive track with raging beats that you can't get out of your head. The song has a bit of funky bass guitar going on but he doesn't stray too far from his euphoric club beats that we've all come to love. But he's also back to singing on his own material which is exciting. Instead of going with a pop vocalist to make sure the song blazes all summer long, he made a risky move but I'm here for it. The song's gonna smash.
