'Love Never Felt So Good' by Michael Jackson featuring Justin Timberlake
Last month it was announced that L.A. Reid had been working on producing a new posthumous Michael Jackson record, XSCAPE, which features re-workings of previous recordings. The title track was released a few weeks ago, and at the iHeart Radio Music Awards the lead single was debuted.
'Love Never Felt So Good' was originally recorded in 1983 around the time the '2009' release 'This Is It'. The song has a signature disco pop vibe to it that makes it instantly danceable. The song is unequivocally Michael, and there's no doubt that this could have been a huge hit for him. It actually sounds like the stuff Bruno Mars is releasing at the moment.
We're also getting a re-worked version which features the heir to the throne, Justin Timberlake. What's funny is that I actually think this remixed version sounds more like MJ's signature sound. I prefer it over the original as it's a bit more 'P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)' which could never be a bad thing. JT's voice fits perfectly on this record, and it would have been incredible to see this duo perform it together.
Michael Jackson's second posthumous release XSCAPE is out May 13th.
