'Nature Boy' by Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett's long-awaited jazz album, Cheek to Cheek, is almost here, but before then we are getting another taste of the album. This sampling is by far the most delicious to date, and my expectations for this album are even higher now.
'Nature Boy' was originally composed in 1941 by Brooklyn composer Eden Ahbez and features the most gorgeous flute solo by the now late Paul Horn. As a flautist myself, this flute solo is so transcendentally beautiful and is one of the defining moments of the song.
This track is a lot moodier and more romantic than the other songs that we've heard so far. It's perfect bathtub, paperback and candles listening. Gaga's voice is supreme here, and, like always, Tony and Gaga make the perfect pair.
Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga's album Cheek to Cheek will be released on September 23rd.
