'Love, S' by Simon Curtis Album Review

Simon Curtis, the ultimate bae of the music world and my favorite man in music, surprised his Robots last night. To ring in the new year, Simon dropped a collection of unreleased songs and remixes of his track 'Flesh' as a present. Love, S features four new tracks and two remixes.

He is currently working on his debut Wrathschild album which I hope is coming soon, and I'm praying there will be new solo music in the future as well. And when he isn't dominating Instagram with his killer pictures and sexy selfies (especially with his beau, model extraordinaire, Jordie), he's also in the revision process of his debut novel. The man can do quite literally everything!

Let's take a look at what Simon has to offer with these unreleased tracks.
Within the opening few moments of 'Stupid' we know we're entering into the Church of Curtis which is going to be a sexy and weird (and hopefully fun and urban) religious experience. Out of all the songs in this collection, this is the most signature Simon with the darker beat and sometimes creepy voices echoing in the background as he alters his voice throughout. And praise Godney as he goes into his gorgeous falsetto near the end. Can we get a music video for this one?

Next up is 'Tough Love' which is the ultimate sex track. This momentous electro track sees Simon singing about being blindfolded and handcuffed while his man takes charge and dominates him. Complete with roars in the background this song is on fiyah. And then that note in the bridge? I think I saw the light of the Holy Spearit.
Following this, Simon throws us a curveball with 'Alone' in which he sings about how he'd rather be alone because the relationship is just not working. The electric guitar propels the song along, getting the adrenaline pumping as Simon's sweet voice powers over the top. I could totally see this song working for a pop teen queen, sort of like the early days of Miley or Selena. A smash for sure.

And finally we have 'Demon'. Relationships seem to be a common theme in this release as this final track speaks to a man coming into his life and taking him prisoner. "I tried to run but I know I'd never get away / I tried to hide but he follows me around like a demon," he sings in anguish. This is probably the weaker track of the four, but it has that signature Simon feel to it which is priceless.

As always, Simon doesn't disappoint and this is the best way to ring in 2015. You can download Love, S for free HERE.
