'This Summer's Gonna Hurt' by Maroon 5
Maroon 5 are going on tour this summer, and to support it they are re-releasing their album V later this summer. Just today they dropped the lead single from the re-issue that's tailor made for the summer months.
'This Summer's Gonna Hurt' is less straight forward pop than their previous offerings, but the synth-pop vibe is quite interesting and a nice change of pace. The song has a vibe reminiscent of Cobra Starship that I think people will latch onto.
"I see her dancing in the street, sipping champagne on the beach, so expensive when she eats, 'cause she's so fancy," sings frontman Adam Levine. It's not an instant smash like 'Moves Like Jagger' but it's hard to believe that this won't become one of the most played songs of the summer.
