GaGa's Workshop at Barneys

On the night of November 21st, Lady GaGa attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for her latest creation: GaGa's Workshop at Barneys.  In a nut shell, the project is one where the entire fifth floor of Barneys was transformed into the mind of GaGa.  She designed everything from top to bottom.  There are rooms made completely of hair (pictured below), caves made of crystal (pictured below), clothing, toys and even food.  It's basically a GaGa wonderland.
As I am in New York City I decided to head up to Barneys to see if I could finally see GaGa in person.  I arrived around 9:15 PM and of course there was already copious amounts of people hanging out.  I got a pretty decent spot with a good view about 100 ft from the entrance and just hung out.  On the jumbotrons on either side of the entrance the Monsterball was playing and GaGa music was being played over the sound system.  Every once in a while people would start singing and it made for a great atmosphere.  At about 9:30 GaGa arrived in her limo and everyone freaked out.  Sadly, she went straight inside to prepare. The Monsterball came to its finale, and as it wrapped up I knew the shindig was about to begin.  Shortly afterwards 'Marry the Night' came on blazingly loud and we all knew this was it.
The policemen moved the guard rails closer to the entrance so I was literally 50 ft away.  On the jumbotrons we saw GaGa walking through Barneys making her way toward the entrance.  As she stepped out everyone went crazy. She looked very humble (and much like the Winter Queen) and waved to all of us.  She walked from side to side to get closer to us, but unfortunately not close enough to touch.  She then was given the scissors and cut the ribbon.  Then she walked backed inside.  I was actually very disappointed with the ceremony.  Usually a microphone is involved and the manager will say welcome blah blah blah, and then the guest of honor will say something, but none of that occurred.  It was rather odd because GaGa is a very vocal person but she seemed very subdued.  Oh well, at least I got to see her!  Now that GaGa's Workshop is open I definitely plan on visiting and I will be sure to update you all on it.
