Not only will Christina Aguilera be back judging the third season of The Voice in September, but she is also gearing up to release her seventh studio album later this year. She's a busy woman, and just this morning the first single off her new album was released. After the commercial flop that was her previous album, Bionic, Christina needs something that can bring her back into the spotlight. And I think she nailed it with this one. 'Your Body' takes the R&B route that Xtina has already conquered very well in the past, and she keeps things simple with this one. She reigns in her vocals (a bit), but they are as beautiful as ever. The song is very hard and grimy, and Christina uses her vocals to push the song over the edge. As a word of caution, the song is very dirty and contains a fair amount of expletives. I can see this one being a huge hit on radio (after they figure out how to edit out the many f-bombs she drops), and hopefully this will reignite her career because I've been missing some Xtina domination over the past few years.

UPDATE: Christina finally (officially) released the song this morning on Ryan Seacrest's radio show. I am still in love with the song and cannot wait for her new album, Lotus, to be released in November. Hopefully Christina can get back in the spotlight with her music, and dominate the charts for at least a little while. As for The Voice this year, the auditions have been decent, but since the Blind Auditions are the only good part of the show I don't think I'm going to do weekly blogs on it.
