'Wanna See You Dance' Music Video by Kat DeLuna

Anyone remember Kat DeLuna? Maybe you remember the song 'Whine Up' which was the song of Summer 2007? Kat has had a rough time achieving any success after her debut single went to #1, and she's basically been regarded as a One Hit Wonder. I, however, have been following her career and she has created some great music. Both of her albums, 9 Lives and Inside Out, are excellent. Inside Out was released exclusively in Europe which is a shame because it's definitely her best album thus far. Kat is gearing up to release her third album (second in the U.S.), Viva Out Loud, later this year. The music video for the debut single 'Wanna See You Dance' was just released this morning and I think, if marketed correctly, it could be a hit. The song is very latino dance pop a la Jennifer Lopez, but it feels more authentic than J-Lo's. It also has a great dubstep breakdown which is then followed by a drum line. It's an odd pairing, but somehow it works. The video is done really well, and it's interesting to see Kat DeLuna in much more mature light. I'm not a fan of the short bob on her, but she looks stunning either way. This song could easily slide into the radio line-up and do very well. I hope she has some more success because she's one of those artists that makes great music but goes unnoticed by the general public.
