Alicia Keys' new music video for her first single 'Girl On Fire' (off the album of the same name) is an interesting one. Who knew that being a "girl on fire" meant being the consummate housewife? Well that's exactly what Alicia suggests here. In the video she is looking fashionable, but also taking care of her kids, her significant other and some elderly folks. It's an interesting move for Alicia to say the least. What I like about the video are the stunning visuals because they're quite striking and different. It's a very odd and strange video, and I'm not quite sure if I really like it. Ever since Alicia became a mother she's sort of lost her spark, so I'm hoping she'll have better material in the future.
