Lorde is currently dominating the world with her first single 'Royals', basically having come out of nowhere and captured everyone's hearts. It's hard to believe that she's only 16, especially with the incredible lyrics in her new single 'Team' which was just released yesterday. I think this track might actually rival 'Tennis Court' for my favorite Lorde song. That's probably because it's a more fully-realized pop song than any of her others. It's got some great melodies, some synth thrown in there, and it's actually a lighter sound than her usual darker stuff. From someone who prefers classic pop music, 'Team' is much more in my wheelhouse than anything else. I'm excited for Lorde's debut album Pure Heroine to drop on September 30th.
